Rev. Clarence J. Ford, Jr. currently serves as Senior Pastor of Christian Chapel Temple Of Faith CME Church (aka CCTOF, since November 27, 2022).  

He previously served as Senior Pastor of Hill Chapel CME Church until receiving the pastor assignment at CCTOF.  He has been in ministry for over 22 years.  Pastor Ford’s ministry began at Christian Chapel under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Jerome E. McNeil, Jr. where he served as the Assistant Pastor for five years.  In that time Pastor Ford organized and developed Christian Chapel’s outreach ministries, the effects of which are remaining today.  While serving at Christian Chapel, Pastor Ford was recognized by the Belo Corporation for his contribution to the steering committee on the development of the religious section of the Dallas Morning News., He was also acknowledged for his work with the Dallas County Youth Detention Center, as well as for his leadership with the Dallas Area Community of Churches Justice for the Homeless Task Force.

Prior to his assignment to Hill Chapel, Pastor Ford served as the organizing Pastor of Curry Temple CME and as Senior Pastor of Carter Temple CME.  At Carter Temple, Pastor Ford lead the congregation in a complete restoration of their worship facility and completed the project debt free.  Through his leadership, Hill Chapel completed the task of retiring its debt and continues to increase its capacity through the acquisition of real estate and the development of moderate housing for families.  Since 1995, Pastor Ford has lead each of the congregations that he has served to develop a prophetic women’s ministry.  Under the banner of ‘Just Between Sistas’, this ministry conducts empowering spiritual growth classes, as well as an annual women’s conference that has reached women in over five states and two foreign countries.  He was selected by the leadership of Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University to chair the standing committee on ‘Race, Gender, and Ethnic Concerns’.  As chair, Pastor Ford developed a plan and process for recruiting minority women to serve as associate professors and for mentoring them to full tenured status.

Pastor Ford is a graduate of Texas College in Tyler, Texas.  He holds a Master of Church Ministry with a focus in Urban Ministry from Perkins School of Theology.  He was also awarded a post-graduate fellowship and MBA Certification from the A. B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.

Pastor Ford has two sons, Jordan Adele Ford (age 23), who is studying at the University of North Texas, and Jared Alexander Ford (age 21), who attends Richland Community College.  He is joyfully married to Mrs. Dawn Jillian Ford.
