GOD's PRESENCE
By Pastor Jerome McNeil

“For a man’s ways are in full view of the Lord and he examines all paths…..Proverbs 5:21
Entering a New Year and wondering what the New Year will offer us, presents another challenge of our faith.  We who profess the faith must move from our comfort zone and encounter the crisis of belief. We say we want God to have his way. If you really desire this, we cannot go with God and have things remain the “same”.  If our walk has been marginal, it is evident in many ways.  If your spiritual level has not improved it is obvious of our lack of investment into things that bring about growth.  How often have you attended Spiritual Growth Classes, Seminary Prayer Vigils, Hour of Power, Sunday School and Private Devotion?
No one can improve their position with God without moving from their comfort zone. It is time to put action to our faith. We want more of God’s Blessing without giving ourselves to God.  You cannot fool God or even attempt to play a role, for the Lord examines all paths.  It is time to adjust our ways to God’s ways time to move ahead. Are you tired of living without instead of possessing what God wants you to have in this life.
It is time to become spiritually active and begin to accept God as the first priority in your life. Open your heart, God wants to be in charge of your desires, delusions, wants, will.  He wants to fellowship , not with the phony, fake, weekend or marginal actor, but the real you. He wants you to be you and let him have control…….Psalm 139:23-24
The year of good intentions should be over. God demands that we drop every personal agenda regardless of how unsettling that might be. Nothing is more demanding that to love and forgive those who have hurt us. Get rid of any bitterness, unresolved issues that have formed a barrier in your relationship with the Lord and others. Follow Jesus wherever he leads. Give yourself to Jesus, accept the brokenness. Give up your fight to have your way.

                * All to Jesus I surrender
                * All to him I freely give
                * I will ever love and trust him
                * In his presence daily live.

This is not a project, program, task or test………It is a Person, Tribute, Joy to his cause for our Salvation and future. Remember when you reject his will or directive, it’s not man whom you hurt it is CHRIST the leader whom you offend and reject. Don’t compromise your followership. Let us not allow our Christian Walk to be weighed by what we could have become but what we have become! When our lives are consumed with Christ, his passion and presence, then there is little room to be consumed with our differences.
